Compared to a standard MBA, Acton provides a revolutionary experience in half the time. Tuition is $42,500 for the entire one-year program.

Tuition Payment
Students accepted to the Class of 2010-2011 are required to pay the fall semester in its entirety ($21,250) by August 1, 2010.

The fall semester’s tuition is paid by students in the following phases:

  1. Phase I: $3,000 deposit due with the signed statement of intent form. (non-refundable)
  2. Phase II: $5,000 deposit due by May 1, 2010.
  3. Phase III: $5,000 payment is due in full by June 1, 2010.
  4. Phase VI: $4,125 payment is due in full by July 1, 2010.
  5. Phase V: $4,125 payment is due in full by August 1, 2010.
(Phase III-V may be paid in one lump sum on June 1, 2010)

The spring semester’s tuition of $21,250 is paid in one lump sum and due by December 15, 2010.

Financial Aid
Acton students are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid, so many students choose to secure student loans through private lending institutions. A list of lenders that have loaned money to Acton students in the past can be found on the Hardin-Simmons University website.

Total Costs of an MBA
Tuition includes all fees and course materials for the entire program. When developing a budget, applicants should consider, in addition to tuition, the cost of housing, utilities, food, personal insurance, and a laptop computer (required for the Acton program). A small discount on Dell laptops is available through Hardin-Simmons University.

Acton Scholar Fellowship
The Acton Scholar Fellowship is a gift from the business leaders of today to the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Given to no more than five Acton Scholars each year, this fellowship was created to aid graduates with the strongest Career Compass portfolios. Fellowship recipients are announced at graduation, rewarding those who have made very intentional decisions about their entrepreneurial journeys post-graduation, either through their steppingstone jobs or beginning their own ventures immediately upon graduation.

The Acton Scholar Fellowship is self-sustaining. Fellowship recipients pledge to “pay it forward,” donating 10% of their monthly earnings back into the fellowship until the $21,000 has been repaid, affording another future Acton Scholar the same opportunity.
