- ActonMBA is the primary username that we used for the Acton blog in our first year.
The Acton School of Business, located in Austin, Texas, offers a one-year MBA that focuses exclusively on entrepreneurship (MBA-E). It was founded by Jeff Sandefer, Phil Siegel, Vaughn Brock, and Jack Long, who were former teachers at the University of Texas Red McCombs School of Business and is accredited through Hardin Simmons University. The program uses the Socratic Method and focuses on experiential learning -- students analyze over 300 real world business cases, play sim games, build actual assembly lines, and sell products door-to-door. The highly acclaimed school was ranked as having the #2 best classroom experience, #3 best professors, and #3 most competitive students by the Princeton Review.
