Dusty Rhodes

Lord Acton believed that religious liberty, political freedom, and economic freedom are inextricably linked. Lose one, lose them all. Dusty Rhodes also believes in these freedoms and has dedicated his life to their defense. Rhodes, a man of ideals and action, is a champion of democracy and free enterprise. In addition to serving as Chairman and CEO of National Review, the country's leading conservative magazine, he has founded or co-founded several organizations that research and shape government policy.

After working his way to become a Partner at the New York investment bank Goldman, Sachs & Co., Rhodes moved on to champion the causes in which he believes. Along with his position at the National Review, he founded the American Civil Rights Coalition, the grassroots group Change-New York, and the Project For the Republican Future. During the 1990s, Rhodes was a chief advisor to New York Governor George Pataki. Rhodes is also Chairman of the Board of the Bradley Foundation.

Rhodes supports the ideals of smaller government, lower taxes, and free trade. He believes in free enterprise and thus won't back down when legislators run campaigns on one platform, only to change philosophies and vote against stated initiatives once elected. Through his work at the National Review and with organizations like The Club For Growth, Dusty Rhodes, a family man with three children, pushes legislators to build a stronger America for today and future generations.

Alexis de Tocqueville once wrote, "The power of the periodical press is second only to that of the people." Dusty Rhodes has, throughout his career, wielded both the power of the press and of the individual arguing for the principles in which he believes. Like Tocqueville, Rhodes is an astute critic of the institutions governing the United States, and through his efforts serves as a role model for civic responsibility and unwavering dedication.
