As the CEO of Acton Publishing, Ben has led the design, development and launch of six award-winning simulation gaming projects. These games, cited as “the best of the best” by author and thought-leader Clark Aldrich are now being folded into fully interactive online learning environments.
At a recent event, Ben was quoted as saying, “At the Acton Foundation, we aim to deliver business lessons and tools to entrepreneurs in a very tangible way, so ‘Learning by Doing’ is the only way to go for us. Our passion, and our challenge, is to allow learners to roll up their sleeves and experience lessons in a personal way.”
He has also held positions as the National Sales Director of RWA Financial Services, Inc. and CEO of NAF Ventures, Inc.
Ben, a 2007 Acton School of Business alumnus, decided to return to Acton to teach because he wanted to be able to give back some of what he received during his time at the school. “I see my year at Acton as one of the most beneficial experiences of my life – the wisdom and knowledge I gained has been invaluable to me. I want others to experience what I experienced and come out of the program more confident, knowing that the lessons they learn throughout the Acton program will help them when they start their own businesses.”
Ben is married to his college sweetheart and together they are raising two wonderful children in Austin, TX.
