To Cheyenne Martin, experiential learning was vital to making the next step in her career.
She had just graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Oklahoma, receiving her undergraduate degree in entrepreneurship and venture management. She knew she wanted to continue her entrepreneurial journey at a school that could give her the real-life experience she lacked; Cheyenne found that at Acton.
“I came to Acton because I believed that the knowledge I would gain there could be applied to almost any aspect of my life whether it be balancing a personal check book or managing a workforce. It was the practical aspects of the program that appealed to me.” The more than 300 case studies at Acton prepared Cheyenne to tackle almost any challenge she faced.
Cheyenne currently works with fellow Acton alumnus, Matthew Arnold, at Aldea, a company Matthew founded that is committed to connect artisans from developing countries to U.S. Consumers. She looks forward to helping Aldea artisans empower themselves as they take hold of their entrepreneurial spirits. As Aldea grows, her personal mission is to give as many companies as possible the opportunity to share the artisans’ unique creations with their customers.
