"There is really no substitute, in business or anything else, for being very, very motivated."

Joe Fulwiler

Credentials:

The newest addition to the Acton faculty, Joe has always embraced difficulty as a motivator to push himself harder and to achieve more without neglecting the importance of helping others. He was raised by a single mother who emphasized education as a path to advancement. Joe's first educational stop was Yale where he graduated with honors in three years, then he went on to law school at Columbia University.

Joe didn't end his formal education with his law degree. After practicing corporate law at some of the largest firms in the United States, he turned away from the legal world to pursue his business degree. Joe earned his MBA from Stanford and held executives roles at companies like Booz Allen & Hamilton in Houston, Spinner.com (now AOL Music) in San Francisco, and Coremetrics in Austin.

Turning back to law, Joe opened his own law firm in Austin because he wanted to focus on helping real people instead of impersonal corporations. His firm focuses on business law, estate planning, and bankruptcies.
