Credentials:

Steven Tomlinson can teach. Just ask the University of Texas's Ex-Students' Association, which awarded him the prestigious Texas Excellence Teaching Award--or the former UT MBA students who voted him "Outstanding Core Faculty in the MBA Program" three times.

Tomlinson is also an adjunct professor of pastoral ministry at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest, where he teaches an economics seminar for divinity students and a popular elective, Money as Metaphor, that explores the spirituality of economic life.

In addition to his teaching, Tomlinson is an accomplished theatre artist. His solo performances at Hyde Park Theatre led the Austin Chronicle to name him "Austin's Best Monologist." His plays about business, ethics, and modern life have won numerous local theatre awards and have been performed in Colorado Springs and Philadelphia. In his most recent piece, "American Fiesta," Steven uses his collection of Fiestaware to reflect on family dynamics, cultural politics, and the doomed search for perfection in America. Tomlinson was recently awarded the Osborn New Play Award for "American Fiesta" from The American Theatre Critics Association. He has also written and performed monologues for IBM, Guaranty Bank, and the Austin 360 Summit.
