Wise Givers: Jeff Sandefer Reinvents the MBA

Beyond Philanthropy and Barron's Magazine recently conducted a research project on "wise giving," naming ten people in five different sectors as "effective philanthropists." Effective philanthropy is defined as "genuinely promoting the common good, changing lives, building communities and solving problems." While most existing ranking systems rank philanthropic efforts by the amount of money individuals donate, this project focused on the actual impact of individuals' actions.
